Meet Leonie
Three words that best describe me:
"Giver" "Dreamer" "Thinker"
I'm a giver at heart. I have a passion for helping people without homes and ministering to those with mental illness. I know what's it's like to not have a home of my own and deal with depression and anxiety. I know what it's like to chase a dream, run out of finances along the way, lose my possessions, and have to start over from scratch. I also know what it's like to be a wife dealing with narcissistic abuse (emotional, verbal, mental, and spiritual) from a husband who preaches behind a pulpit but is abusive at home. You can listen to my pastor's wife's testimony here.

But I'm more than my past experiences. I'm an overcomer. I'm pursuing wholeness. I'm a champion. In fact, my name Leonie means "Lioness". So I'm built with fortitude and prowess.
Hi, my name is Leonie Althea. I was born and raised in St. Catherine, Jamaica. I attended St. Jago Prep and St. Jago High School in Spanish Town. I migrated to the U.S. the year before my class of 98 high school graduation and later went on to earn a degree from William Paterson University of New Jersey. I've always had a vivid imagination and it was difficult to land my feet in one career path, but I eventually found my way into freelance writing, ghostwriting, copywriting, and consulting which I've been doing for the past 15 years.
Someone once described me as a "quiet storm", and I must say, it's true! I've been brewing behind the scenes with my career, serving the homeless, ministering to abused pastors' wives, and being a light in the best way I can. God is preparing me to step into the forefront, do the works that He has created me to do, and bring Him glory.
What is God preparing you for? Whatever it is, the purpose is so that the light of Christ can shine through you. One can chase a thousand and two can put ten thousand to flight (Duet 32:30). Let's stay connected and shine together!
